- I'll second that. Newbies need a gentle push in the right direction, not just
- the "wrong group, get lost idiot" message I see in many groups.

- The original question was not off-topic, it was just very platform-specific. As
- for his C question, maybe he should have phrased it this way: "Does anyone know
- of a C routine to check the baud rate of a comms port in Windows?". Just my two
- cents' worth.
